Photo 2 on the Forest Floor Series showing a couple of moss covered maples with ferns. This was taken inside the woods along the Tea Pot trail, which is beside Cultus Lake. The woods along this pathway abounds in moss covered trees. If you like moss there is more than enough to look at here. Somehow the seeds from the ferns manage to plant themselves up in these maple trees. You can see more ferns on these maples too. This is the kind of climate that I enjoy to see on a trail hike. Hope you enjoy it too.

Now this is how you make a green photo interesting. I love the shapes here and the clarity in the ferns is wonderful.

You REALLY made me drop on my knees and pray...
Unbelieveble study in green.
Unbelievable study of light.
Beauty of nature with the only one, right way of approaching it...
With the beauty of your photography, pal.
All the best

I see that you are going into nature shot and enjoying it.
Hey, thanks for sharing your excellent images via mail. Appreciate that, my friend.
Well, this one sure looked green enough to easy my eyes from the work hours of string at the computer.
Surely it does.
Yes, the ferns looked fresh enough to be a sushi apetiser, Paul.
Cheers and good day, Paul.

Green colours are very difficult to exposure for a digital camera but i see you were shooting in raw which mean full control over the exposure and colour balance at home...perfect..!!!
Love these kind of images, because we see them seldom and it's not that easy to make them.
Perfect piece of work...great..!!!

This is a fantastic photo of moss with little bits of the bark showing through here and there. The ferns growing on the trunks look superb and the colour is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Nice result for a photo taken in dim light I see you had to mount the f/1.8 wonder, I like here how the greens are rich in nuances, their strength gives sort of tropical rainforest feeling.
Have a nice day,

I like the contrast here with your previous post. Nice bright lighting to show the amount of green...it's amazing. We have forests here, but nothing like this...it looks straight out of prehistory. For me, the slight sprinkling of brown leaves break up the green just enough to open up your shot.

Excellent shot of this beautiful forest floor! I love the mossy branches and the ferns living on top of them. Excellent lighting, stunning colours and details! I love the composition and you have captured it so well! Great work, Paul!

Superb scene, Paul. I love this, so full of life and decay simultaneously. Exceptional detail, TFS. I tried to get these shots in the Pacific Rim years ago, and failed. Next best thing was to paint it from memory....
