Photographer’s Note
"..Our share of night to bear,
Our share of morning,
Our blank in bliss to fill,
Our blank in scorning.
Here a star, and there a star,
Some lose their way.
Here a mist, and there a mist,
Afterwards—day.."
Emily Dickinson (1830–86)

Third experiment in a row (vertical/no frame/ BW) coming up next is....? ;-)
Interesting but I think it lacks a bit of contrast with your BW conversion : as you may notice there's no real blacks, also it makes it softer than your usual artificial light color... I don't know either, I think I miss the usual style.

I understand and sympathize with every word Luko wrote but I tell you what, I think it's a good thing to dash a bit left and right away from one's mainstay. I rather like the old time photograph or book illustration feel to this one. PLus I reckon you must know what you're doing, Evren, if anyone does...;o)

Hi Evren,
I like the atmosphere captured by you. I also like the haziness in it, may be strong contrast is not needed here.

You've created a nice mellow, poetic mood here, Evren, and you've preserved a good amount of detail in the shadows. But I have to agree with Luko that this isn't one of your best, it needs somewhat more contrast. You maintain a very high standard, it's tough to always match it. Regards, Ken.

A very evocative shot, Evren, I like the ill-defined nature of this one, there is a prolonged mood of melancholy that permeates this one, a feeling it is not night any longer but not daylight yet either, a sense of in-betweenness, a sense of not knowing. Hence your refusal of stark contrasts is totally appropriate, imo...
very nice Dickinson too!

Hi Evren
This is really great shot of daily life. SPot on with the exposure. A nice scene you have set for us using b&w as evening fades. Well done.
