Photographer’s Note

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
This is the poem one of my photo buddies gave me after she saw this picture. Such a nice stuff to read.

Hi Radim.
A great poem to a great shot. Although focusing on objects in the foreground often are scoffed at, it really works well in this shot. The choice of black an d white works really well.

Hello Radim,

This looks like a place one goes to pe alone. I like the pattern in the sand and the placing of the horizon makes this look like an endeless dessert. Very nicely captured. The foot prints really brake the pattern qutite nicely. Very nice work. TFS.

Bonjour,
J'aime beaucoup cette image. Le N&B est une très bonne idée, il met bien en relief les traces de pas qui guident le regard sur cette dune.

A perfect B&W shot. I like a lot the "shiny" areas around and in the footprints caused by the different angles of the sand. Amazing.

hi Radim,a wonderful story for believers, but if you only change Lord into a friend it will become universal (not that i need to). i love the correspondence between what is said and what is seen, and i donąt feel i have to write anything more.

Lovely light, it should be paid for doing such a great job with stressing the shapes and textures. Great bw conversion, too.
