Photographer’s Note
I took this picture in the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre, in Ontario. It is not a ZOO it is the “home” to a pack of captive grey wolves.
The pack is the result of a pair of unrelated wolf pups which in 1977 were acquired by a professional photographer with the intention of photographing these animals in the wild. Today their siblings and offspring roam freely in the 15 acres enclosure and they come in the feeding area where they can be observed by the people. The observatory has a one-way mirror glass such as the wolves can not see the visitors through the windows. The main focus of the centre is education and research.
Treatment : I just cropped the sides of the photo to concentrate more the attention to the wolf's eyes.
