Photographer’s Note
Coming home from work in the North Sea.
I can just imagine how welcoming the sight of land must be for these guys.
I was having one of my walks on the beach this evening, there were some spectacular colours in the sky and I just had to capture it.
As I was walking back to my car I happened to hear the familiar sound of an inbound helicopter.
I turned around and this magnificent setting just screamed to be photographed!
And, well... the rest is history (?)
I adjusted the levels slightly and put Hue -10, saturation +20 (I might have mixed these up, sorry!) and adjusted lightness to -10.
Cropped the right side of the photo slightly and that is pretty much it.
The helicopter captured here is a Sikorsky S-92 owned by a company called "Norsk Helikopter". They primarily perform transportation of personell to the Norwegian offshore rigs in the North Sea.

Nice work, colourful and also a bit minimalistic, a bit vegetation, a heli and sky. The gradual colours in the sky are nice, also the silhouette of the chopper. Some - but not too much - movement is captured, well done.
I think you should try to keep the filesize bigger, stick just around 200kb.
Nice border by the way, works fine.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Odd Jarle,
a nicely colored minimalistic shot. I love the composition - the helicopter looks like an oversized beetle or fly or something like that.

Hello Odd Jarle,
Minimalistic composition, pleasant to look at!
Nice balance between the few elements, giving big space to the helicopter...
Good colours and fine details!
Greetings,
