Photographer’s Note
Taken a few hours after my "Mt Fuji Wearing Blue" photo (http://www.trekearth.com/gallery/Asia/Japan/photo490937.htm) this is a second view of Mt Fuji from the slopes of (Mt) Kitadake, the second highest mountain on Japan. This time though, Fuji is just a background for the brilliant colours of the early autumn leaves.
Postprocessing: increased saturation levels slightly.
I did consider a substantial crop to increase the apparent size of Fuji, but the colours were not as effective, particularly losing some of the small patches of clear blue sky between the clouds at the top left.

i am a bit pushed today with one thing and another and i like to acknowledge critiques firstly..and do some horse trading as we all do...
but this shot right into my eye on startup...the leaves are very in your face and almost a parody shot...but the more i look the more it is true japanese art and viewpoint...a real winner on trek lens but for here it gets my 2 points...
thanks dave
cheers

Hi Dave
This could be Hokusai - you should run it through Photoshop and sketch, etc :)
I like the way you've kept Fuji-san small, the colours of the leaves are great.
Thanks a lot.
Cheers
