Photographer’s Note

i took this photo from the roof of a school in the "favela" Vila Prudente (shanty town). I was shocked to see the favela is built right next to a huge electrical plant that feeds electricity to a big area of the city, and specially this house...
I will be posting more photos from Vila Prudente soon...

This a picture with a dramatic subject and a very strong composition - beacause of all the vertical and horizontal lines it has it's own graphic quality. Very sharp and good colours too. As a picI like this a lot. Maria Elena, this is quite a start. Wellcome to TE!!

Beautiful photo and a very sad scene... I like your angle, which emphasizes the power-plant and diminishes the house, yet captures the colorful laundry, which is evidence that someone is actually living there.

Very Unique and "charged" subject. as for the composition I'd go a bit closer to get rid of the fence in the forground...
