Photographer’s Note

The market square of Ypres is surrounded by historical buildings. The one at the right is the court of justice. It was designed in Flemish renaissance style in 1929. In the middle there is the kasselrij building which was completed in the 15th century. At the right you can see a part of the cloth hall. In the first world war, most of the buildings were destroyed. The buildings which you can see now are reconstructions completed during the 1920.
