Another motif from the Pavillion used in my last posting. This time we can see the little penisula stretching its finger into the lake Strandafjorden. To the left the large camp. Fagernes while the rest of the penisula is disposed by the local Folkemuseum - Museum for old buildings and equipment placed with good care at the hilled penisula.

A special weather with heavy clouds and some sun made for another HDR attempt.

Wikipedia:
Fagernes is the largest village in the Region of Valdres, Norway, with a population of around 1,800. Fagernes is the administrative centre of the municipality of Nord-Aurdal.

Fagernes is an important destination for tourism in Norway, due to good communications and beautiful nature in the surrounding Valdres region and mountain areas, like Jotunheimen.

Hi Jack

It looks very similar to the view from the skyline gondola restuarant in Queenstown, New Zealand. Wonderful high pov with excellent colour & sharpness. Tfs!

Good morning Jack,
... another HDR attempt...
Well, the result is really amazing, exposure and colors are great.
I have the impression, it gives a touch of three dimensional...
At the next occasions, I will try to do my experiments!
Have a great day
Knut

Ooooooh Jack, this is a very very nice view!
You captured it also with a very good lightness.
This is for sure a very beautyful place to live there.
Thanks very much.

wonderful bird's eye view of this fantastic place. nice saturated colours and light. great pov too. tfs.

regards,
arjun

A beautiful light again in this one, Jack, and a good framing to have the peninsula make a diagonal stretch into the photo. The foreground tree at the right, while it may not have been avoidable anyway, is actually very well included for balance and a subtle add of perspective. Nice shot.

Hi,
What a beautiful light !
Nice HDR use. I like the water look, and the infinite DOF.
Good job,
JB.

Hallo John!
This is an exceptional autumn picture! The "arrangement" of the sunlight and the glowing colours is great! A really wonderful photo full of beauty!
Greetings from Germany!
Frank

Hi, Jack. You seem to master the HDR technique very well. this results in excellent colours in all the parts of your picture, which is a challenge in such light conditions. The finger going into the lake is a remarkable feature and it is very well palce in the picture. It offers a large variety of colours and good contrast.

Ola Jack mais uma bela vista , fantastica !!!
Gostei muito da cor das arvores.
Um abraço Gonçalo

Hi Jack,
beside the wonderful view, what strikes here in the first place is the excellent light! The fall colours and great depht with the trees in foreground add to a really great shot, TFS!

Hello Jack, a very beautiful point of view of this splendid point, I like the framing of pines in foreground, the colors are superb in particular those of the sea of a blue which seems to solidify, the POV enables us to admire not only the sea but also the surrounding relief, with these meadows and these points of edge of sea more and more appraisal by people of the south, your image is a good publicity which encourages to return to us in this kind of place, just like will do it a postcard of the corner, a superb pallet of colors and a small air of holidays which makes good with where the days shorten quickly, sincerely ..............................Bonjour Jack, Un très beau point de vue de cette magnifique pointe, j'aime bien l'encadrement de pins en premier plan, les couleurs sont superbes notamment celles de la mer d'un bleu qui semble figer, Le POV nous permet d'admirer non seulement la mer mais aussi le relief environnant, avec ces prairies et ces pointes de bord de mer de plus en plus prisée par les gens du sud, ton image est une bonne publicité qui incite à nous rendre dans ce genre d’endroit, tout comme le ferai une carte postale du coin, une superbe palette de couleurs et un petit air de vacances qui fait du bien à cette époque de l'année où les jours raccourcissent rapidement, bien amicalement

HI Jack,
Nice contrast and softness.
Well done, TFS.

Khalid

Hi Jack - wonderful light and view, the tree at right also balances the peninsula, next time I visi I must make an effort to visit Fagernes

Hello Jack

FAGERNES! I remember and I love this place, I've been so many times to that camping place.

The use of light in this photo is really good, illuminating the penisula and keeping the background sort of "in the dark".
Colours are very good, autumn has finally come. I wonder what winter will be like this year?

Odd Jarle

Hi Jack,

A very nice lightning. I like the colors too. I see that autumn is also very nice in Norway. Cordially,

Christophe

PS : I don't have any point to distribute, I pass by again…

Hello Jack,
What a lovely picture with so nice light (HDR if I understand correctly). The pov is really great on the marvelous area.
Kind regards
JMarc
