Photographer’s Note
Hi dear reader,
Yap, it's just another sunset shot, like there are a lot on TE. Most of us are getting less sensitive to them. But still, I wanted to share this sunset I saw on my holiday, because I was sensitive then! Taken from the ferryboat on the way to Lefkada. Spent that day on Kefalonia, from where I shared a couple of photo's before, some of you will know! The boat was heading first to Frikes on Ithaki, then to Nydri, Lefkada..our 'home' this holiday.
We came from Fiskardo, so I added it there.
I like the sun just above that sloping hill. A few moments later the sun disappeared behind it. (see WS too). And by then I saw another beautiful sunset.
The saturation on the yellow is pretty intense here (came out the camera like that), maybe a bit too..what do you think?
By the way, on the right side, you see the trace of our ferryboat in the water..should I have removed it..or leave it there? your opinion is ?
[PP]
* Auto Levels (Fade 10%)
* Little brightness/contrast
* Shadow/highlight
* Saturation : bit > red (+darken), < yellow a bit.
* Noise reduction on the sea alone.
* Added frame
That's all. Have a nice day.

Hi Emiel
Very nice shot, so romantic from my grandfather's island.
I like the saturated colors and the atmosphere. Very nice job.

Hi Emiel.
Very nice colours in this landscape.
The light is really the main carachter of the photo (and the Sun, of course). Well composed and well done with the exposure too.
Regards.

Hey Emiel,
It may be cliché seeing sunsets, but I believe it depends how the viewer sees it. I have seen many as I walk pass these sunsets and when I pause and take a look and we do think internally within and get 'emotional' and many thoughts come to our mind or even do wishful thinking till it sets. As you said 'I was sensitive' that's why you wanted to share this image is indeed true. Is all about the photographer and his photos, the story behind or the thoughts that go with the capture.
Well as for the 'trace' It did'nt matter much to me since the strong impact of the sunset made my vision fixed to the overall mood and atmosphere of the scene. Some may want to have a 'technically correct' picture but this no longer require complete concentration. Cropped or uncropped will be the same for me.
The 'technically' beautiful image resulted in a stunning sunset with colours very vivid, IMO not that intense (as long it doesn't bleed), and c’mon Emiel you have stunning images here and its your personal approach, which yields very personal results.
Keep it up dude!
Cheers!

Hi Emiel,
I like the graphical elements here. Almost perfect triangle, horizont line and sphere of the sun. Excellent colours and good timing with the sun just disappearing behind clouds.

Hello Emiel! This one caught my eye since I am fan of warm saturated colors. I light your composition very much, especially the shape of that ridge descending in the ocean at a nearly perfect 45 degress. My only suggestion would be to crop the right 15-25% of the frame since it's a wide view and there's not too much of interest over there. But very nice as is.
Well done!

Hi Emiel! Fantastic color transitions in the sky! I like dark triangle wedged into the sea, and sun is also nicely captured among clouds. Bellissimo! Cheers - Vilius
