A very typical greek soldier in full uniform (I wish someone could explain me the reason for the shoes, there must be a story to explain the black fluffy thing at the end). What makes your picture very special is the warm light and the shadow it makes on the wall. Perfect composition, clever picture, and interesting note (I understand spanish but can't speak it, I hope english is OK).

Tal vez sea típico el motivo, pero no lo es la foto. La sombra hace un juego muy especial, hace que percibamos con más nitidez el perfil del soldado, que se ve más nítido en la pared y a la vez le presta un fondo más oscuro al traje blanco que resalta mucho más. El color es muy cálido, un pelín rosáceo, y le da a la escena un toque de cierta intimidad. Me parece muy buena elección y un resultado muy bello. Un saludo,

This is an outstanding composition. The shadow of the soldier standing guard can be interpreted as the silhouette of his unknown commrade. Very nice colors in the low light and the texture of the wall comes out beautifully.

Bela foto Jose gosto das sombras obtidas e da luz sobre sob os dizeres na parede.

Hola José

impresiona esta foto, por varios motivos, el encaje entre las letras, y el soldado, en una posicion realmente perfecta me gusta mucho. Logras encuadrar y posicionar de una forma armonica todos los elementos que conforman la fotografia.
Y yo que soy un apasionado del mundo helenico, del antiguo sobre todo, pero por extension del actual, otro punto mas a favor de que me guste ;-)

Que compo mas bonita! Me gusta mucho. llego retardado para escribir algo de nuevo. El juego del soldado con la sombra es impressionante.
Solo es pena que la face del soldado estea tan oscura, pero eso no prejudicia mucho el imagen.

Recuerdo muy bien el sitio y el show del cambio de guardia.

Como Carlos dice, algo muy típico pero que siempre me gusta volver a ver.

Buena foto con grandes colores y la sombra, que es lo mejor de todo.

Very good - the composition would be good even without the sahdow, but this makes it an excellent image. The light is very good too (as I'd expect late on in the day).

An interesting shot.you have captured the formality of this ceremony in great light and the shadow provides a further component to the composition.

I am wondering how a slightly lower POV would look I'm not sure if you were kneeling or standing when you took this.
