Photographer’s Note
To continue a mini series on the fall theme at the tree plantation, this photo is posted for the following reasons;
1. The red branch sticking out of this row breaks up the frame by saying look at me.
2. Using a longer zoom lens namely the 70-200 F4 at at the long end compresses the trees closer together. These trees are all planted about 4 to 5 feet apart.
3. Some backlit lighting on these leaves in the fog adds to their beauty.
4. There is something about this photo I simply like so it needs to be posted and shared with others. So enjoy!

Hi Paul
Again,we are in the same page and with the same theme.
I do not have much to add that you did not already said in your note.
It is asking to be seen and the eyes are attracted to your photo.
The fog diffuse the light for more softness.
A beauty to look at
Have a good evening

Hi Paul,
Very nice shot, that has many things I like. The way to the fog, and it's mistery; the trees aligned giving us a very graphical image; the leaves used as a frame, enhancing the perspective and the depth; the natural colors... and the autumn colors, these leaves are really amazing. It's a shot really beautiful. Thanks,
Angel.

Superb autumn colours. This is really beautiful. Your compo is very good and the light from behind enhances the colours and the presence of the fog. Very well done.

I'm liking this 'fall' series you've been posting Paul. As we've discussed before- spring and fall is something not too noticeable here in Singapore- apart from the increased rain showers.
I'd like to try a level adjustment- brightening the mids a bit- and darkening the shadows- leaving the highlights- just where they are. What do you think?
Just an experiment on an already great shot!
Cheers Paul!

The telephoto effect in this works incredibly well, because those trees sure look a lot closer than 5 feet. The colour is great, very intense and vivid, and offsetting the gloom from the foggy day. Great work!

Well, looking at this post answered the question i had in your previous shot. I agree, good use of the zoom lens. The colors are so wonderful during this time of year...you know, it is my favorite time of year along with the other three 8^)
The light curve of the branch holding the red leaves is very attractive. It lends a wonderful contrast to the straight verticals of the tree trunks.
Another fine one friend,
Chris.

Beautiful shot.
My own technical analysis is nowhere near as sophisticated as yours, so I'll keep my mouth shut in case I make a fool of myself and limit this to a comment.
I like.

Hey Paul,
Another fantastic shot of these beautiful fall colours. I love the bright red leaves dominating the scene. The fog really creates that true fall feeling in this shot. Great composition with great details and beautiful colours! Great work, Paul!

Oh waht a beauty Paul!!
A single line which, you have mentioned in your notes as red branch of maple leaves, has stolen the heart.
The misty atmosphere is increasing the beauty to new folds.
You have left me with nothing to write.
Greatt Shot.

Great note, Paul. There is a air of 19th Century Romance in this, like a detail of a pre-raffaelite painting. Beautiful capture of the diffused light through the leaves.
Cheers

Another one of your long exposure moody backlit shots, Paul. Great work again. I thought you said in your intro you were taking a break from posting, but you've been giving us some outstanding images this week. Your note describes the compositional aspects of this photograph so well that you've left nothing for us critiquers to add! Cheers . . . David
