Photographer’s Note
Up in the Schei District, the two men are plotting new business ventures over a glass of wine... but first things first for the widowers - they have a
requiem coming up on the weekend and therefore must prepare the traditional wheat porridge (a special kind of cake made with walnuts - "coliva" in Romanian).
They are reminiscing about the good old times with a fervent passion... May God have mercy on the dead...

Hi Sorin,
from where did you find this Albert Einstein, looking straight into your eyes? Hi s chequred gown and the chequered shirt immdiately pops the image.
The man on the right has a point to say and your shot too has a point to convey...wrinles may come but the josh continues.
Good attempt and nice choice to have it in B&W.
Three things are higly favoring you, and always remeber them.
First your name;Sorin, its musci to the ears.
Second a good eye to observe and to shoot
Third, you are a Romanian.
Seee you again!

This is great: the raw human emotion, the fervent conversation, the real expression on their faces. Well captured daily life from Schei. Super!
Vad ca ai pus-o, dar fara border. Las' ca mere, poza-i reusita. Ai nimerit-o la fix. Foarte fain. Vezi ca ti-am facut un WS inainte s-o postezi. Il pun sa vad ce zici.
salutari,
mike

Hello Sorin,
This is an excellent portrait of these two elderly men. The composition and the poses are perfect and the b&w tones just marvellous. Interesting note as well.

Excelent portret B&W, figuri extrem de pitoresti si pline de naturalete.
Compozitie deosebita. Simpatica ideea cu Don Scheiano.
