Photographer’s Note
This is the inner court in the Castle of the Kings of Majorca. When James I, the Conqueror, king of Aragon and count of Barcelona, erected the Kingdom of Majorca in 1276, Perpignan became the capital of the mainland territories of the new state.
The 13th century castle of the kings of Majorca sits on the high citadel, surrounded by ramparts (see workshop) reinforced for Louis XI and Charles V, which were updated in the 17th century by Louis XIV's military engineer Vauban.

Hallo Anton!
At first thank you for the interesting note, because I knew nothing about this. The picture shows an at the same time compact and elegant building with a lot of details. The structure of the walls with the aslant stones (herring bone lines)is rather exceptional. Thank you for showing!
Have a nice week!
Greetings from warm and sunny Germany!

Hi Anton.
Good composition here. The vertical view is probably the best choice.
The light is not bad and also we have a good sharpness.
Anyway I miss something: people.
Regards.
