This is the Goaldam village, the entry point of the Roopkund trekking. Its almost 200 km from Lalkuan Station. You can hire direct Jeep or break journey to avail buses. We reserved a jeep for an amount 1750/- to reach Goaldam from Lalkuan. We started at about 9-00 am from Lalkuan and reached at Goaldam at 4-30 pm.
We enjoyed Vimtal, Bageswar, almora. We enjoyed famous Baijnath Temple en route.
The day was a little bit cloudy and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset from Goaldam. It is a small hill town from where u have to collect Guide, nrecessary ration etc. We found electricity (a small portion of it included in the photograph). This is the last place from where u can give the "VALUABLE" charge to the batteries of your digicams etc.
Hope u like this post.
There are another one from Goaldam in workshop.
NB: Sabyachachi Da should be eager to enjoy the photographs of Goaldam. This photograph is dedicated to Sabyachi Da who inspired me tremendously through his photography and the valuable comments.

Nice image, especially for the appearence and colours of the sky, very fascinating. I also like the sight of the green hills around, it really seems a lovely place.
Interesting note also.

Wonderful place and a nice take. Particularly the layers of the mountains are interesting. Good post. A bit noisy and grany though. I would prefer to remove those electric wires and posts in the right bottom part.

excellent light conditions under this circumstances. Very intensive impression of getting dark.

A very beautiful place. I personally would crop the top of the sky as i've done in my workshop.
