Photographer’s Note
Taken on the Glamorgan Heritage coast, with the most fleeting of sunsets. Probably about 10 minutes in total when the colours were this fantastic, then back to the usual Welsh grey! Five stops of grad, plus a circular polarizer to get the effect I was looking for on this one.
Phil.

Hi Phil,
Well, whatever you hoped to achieve, you certainly did it for me! It's wonderfully sharp and the grad had the desired effect. Composition is brilliant and so is the spark from the setting sun. Amazing clarity and colour. Congratulations on a job well done! This pic has alerted me to your gallery which, although small in number, makes up for in quality. Best wishes, Vicky

Outstanding shot. I like the composition with the cliffs on the left, sun on the right and water leading to the horizon. Looks like a movie scene. What do you mean by "five stops of grad"? Is that a graduated filter you used? Or did you take multiple shots and combine them? Thanks.

Hi Phil
Another cracker. This looks a fantastic place to have some fun with your camera. Great composition, it's busy, but works well, the rocks and water converging into the middle of the shot. Excellent

All your shots are exceptional Phil, especially considering you've only been at it for 15 months.
Maybe the sky on this one a tad over(or under)done. A little less red maybe for a more realistic overall light.Still, a small nitpick only, this is the kind of stuff i aspire to.

This is a belter, hits the spot on every level, composure, clarity and colour, but I'm scratching my head as to what beach it is. Enlighten me please.

Striking work Phil, the dry pebbles really make it pop. Not keen on the sky so red but thats personal preference. Well done. I have some catching up to do.

Excellent work Phil! Your filters certainly helped here.I'd like to know what post processing was done to produce this very smooth and saturated effect.
