THE PLACE
Santa Cruz de la Sierra is the richest city on Bolivia and has about 1,3 million residents.
Santa Cruz is the arriving point for the famous Death Train, and there are lots of tourists passing by this city.

Bolivia is well known as a country with a highly politicized population in a constant search for its political identity.

THE PHOTO
I was trying to get good photos of the church (that can be seen on the back) but failed due to the fact that the plaza in front of the church was being remade. Than I moved to shoot the graffities on those walls, but none of the photos came out good. It was than that I saw this tourist boy running to catch up with his parents. I quickly realized that I had a great opportunity ahead of me. It was great to see the contrast between the static Latin American words of protest and that fast moving European boy. It became obvious to me that this was one those moments that Bresson used to call: Decisive. That scene would be forever lost if it wasn't for my trusty camera...

In the wall you can read (in Spanish, from left to right):

- Looking for good and reliable food? Be sure to try out the DUMBO fast food restaurants. They serve as a safe haven for tourist, offering good food.

- Be sure to visit the Casa de la Cultura. In this museum you will be able to see some very interesting pain exhibits, photography exhibitions, among others.
