Photographer’s Note

It´s been...what, 3 days? I don´t know but seemed a lot time without uploading and coming to T.E. with time!

This picture was taken this morning on my way to by a new filter for the camera, just to protect the lens. I went with AJMOA and during our way to downtown we decided to go near the sea! This is the wy it was...strong waves, combination of sun with dark clouds and rain!
I decided to join this picture to the nature categoty cause of the nature effect it has as i described. Then to the architecture category cause of the lighthouse, which in my opinion as good combination of colours, red and white, and as a nice architecture! The decisive moment is because of the impredictable weather, that at any time could just calmed down!

Conheço o local. ja tirei uma foto a esse farol mas nao ficou tao boa como a tua porque nessa altura o mar estava muito calmo. Com o mar mais bravo é como se o local ganhasse vida. gosto muito.

A nice light on the lighthouse. The composition has been well thaught over I think, the big waves balance the heavy pier. Nice sea colors too.

Excelente composição Bruno! De facto o mar revolto traz a esse farol uma sensação de fragilidade mas ao mesmo tempo de robustez para aguentar e guiar os navegadores pelas águas do oceano. Talvez uma composição mais minimalista também criasse uma imagem agradável. Um bom registo!

Just a lucky for a photographer to live close the sea: I think that if you every day take a shot in this point you will have always something different. Colours, composition, light: all is perfect

very nice picture...waves and light and dark blue sky really gave me the feeling of a storm to come...lighthouse and waves look very beautiful and to make them come out more I would probably crop some from the top...
sorry if same has been said below in Portugese..:)

Great picture Bruno. Very nice compisition with the light house to the left and i like the way we get to see the ocean. Colours are really nice, abit grey which goes well with the wheater conditions. Now, if i remember correct from other pictures...is there another light tower to the right as well?

A fine way to compose such a shot, Bruno. The lighthouse standing on top of the fortified wall is well balanced by the power of the incoming water from the sea. A great light you got on this one. And yes, good choice of the "decisive moment" category as well ;-)

Boa foto Bruno. Gosto muito de farois, na proxima semana vou ao cbo do sardão fotografar o de lá. Sabias que o farol mais antigo de Portugal esta no Porto?

Very good. The sea as i like it. The colors are just great. This is one of my regrets, living in Luxemburg: missing the sea. Very good composition with the lighttower at the left and the big waves to counterbalance.

The headlight is there upright vis-a-vis with the sea, its colors bright under this beautiful light seems to say to us i am there and I remain there. great composition

Moody sky, stormy sea and a lighthouse outlined nicely on their background - this is such a wonderful composition, Bruno! The red colour beautifies it perfectly. Very well seen and captured!

You got the colours of this fine water image just great together with the dark sky. A perfect background for the lighthouse and the breaking wave - Very fine work indeed Bruno.
