[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We went on a trip to the Amazon basin via Puerto Maldonado a good base for organizing jungle trips.
From the jungle lodge where we stayed we went on a long hike through the jungle and eventually came to this lake in the middle of the jungle. We were on a boat in the middle of the lake fishing for pirannas for dinner when this butterfly just came along and was flying around us. Our guide put out his finger and it landed on there. Whilst on the lake we were also able to see many different kinds of birds including parrots. And we also saw otters.

I like the idea of the focus on the buterfly with the man unsharped, I think I would appreciate to have him inside the frame completely since you have room on the right, but I realize that the timing in this photo is very important because the insect is not going to stay there forever so I like this photo. Take care Wanda.

Lovely picture! You captured this decisive moment very well...DOF is perfect, I love the gesture and the movement which create a wonderful compostion (diagonal, unsharped part,...). Great peaceful harmony between this man and the butterfly. His smile, his laughing eyes add to this lovely scene. Sure it is among your best shots!
