China is a land of great geographical diversity, though seldom associated with untouched, pristine forests - and with good reason. However, some tracts of vergin land do remain, and here is an example of one such place.

This photograph was taken in the southern part of the Drung Gorge, near the small Drung village of Maku, looking South-West towards Myanmar. The forests here are untouched, and it was a refreshing sight to catch in China. Past Maku, the Drung River meanders around tall mountains, past very remote, uninhabited valleys, into Northern Myanmar.

La Chine est un pays d’une énorme variété géographique, mais elle ne fait que rarement penser a des forêts immaculées et intactes. Il existe néanmoins quelques telles régions, dont voici un exemple.

Cette photo a été prise dans la partie sud de la gorge de la rivière Drung, près du village Drung de Maku, regardant vers le Myanmar, au sud-ouest. Ces forêts sont intactes, et de les voir en Chine était une expérience réellement rafraîchissante. Passé Maku la riviere Drung contourne autour de grandes montagnes, à côté de vallées lointaines et inhabitées, et entre le nord du Myanmar.
