Photographer’s Note

This is my addition to the "Our Homes" theme - I like the idea of it. Our kitchen has a window to the west, and the low sun always creates a very warm light in the afternoons. I shot this picture last weekend without any planning, the leftovers from a late breakfast were still on the table. The old cupboard was in very bad shape when we got it, we had to replace the glass and handles and paint it. The spices on its side are from Turkey.
Little postprocessing: resized and framed, colors and cropping are original.

What a nice cosy shot! The warm light is really beautiful and I like how you framed the shot with lots of interesting detail neatly arranged. Really nice capture of a homely atmosphere!

Somehow I like it, the picture has a nice warm mood, perhaps because of the returning reds in the composition.

This is a very welcoming and gentle photograph. Your photograph looks like it could be printed and framed to hang as a poster in someone's kitchen. The lighting is just lovely.

You have certainly managed to capture a lovely cosy feel using existing light from your window. A lovely peaceful scene with warm subtle colours. Good composition using only part of the table in the foreground. Love the cupboard, I wish it was in my house.
Just curious: Are they spices hanging from the cupboard.
