Here's the hotel view taken the next day at about 7:30PM while waiting for a friend for dinner.
I came back to my room after work and was using the computer. I didn't realize the sky was getting dark until I looked out the window. I quickly took out my camera to capture the twilight moments.
First few shots were quite blurred as I was hand holding the camera even with IS on and ISO set to 400.
I didn't bring my tripod for this working trip. Frustrated, I looked around my hotel room, I found 2 small tables and stacked them up. By using my wallet to tilt the camera downwards, managed to take this shot.
It wasn't as sharp as the one taken in noon but it is OK to me considering shuttle speed of 0.5" with ISO 400.
Comparing both noon and this version, which one do you like ?

Hi Chai, somehow I preferred this one. There are things that don't require bright lights and marked definition to be of visual value. Here, it is the muted colors and low light, make this composition, a soft pastel impression of a landscape at dusk. It also brings fond memories.
Twenty years ago, I used to walk those quiet streets. Traffic wasn't so bad then and one could walk from Esplanade all the way to Green Sand and at most, only becas minding your way.

It is a bit too early in the evening to capture the atmosphere of the evening life at that area. Maybe a little later that you would be ble to put in a good evening shot with all the neon lights and signage light turne on and haveing the dark evening sky as a curtain to your image.
And using a slow speed, most probably you will be able to capture some moving cars around the trafiic and wahla!, you got this lines of lines on the streets. And wahla!, it wil be an excellent evening shot.
So, why are you hurrying to rather than waiting a little extra longer to have a better compostion and effect?
Cheers and good day.

I find these picture better than your previous, the different light points care for a lovely composition, you took this picture on a very nice moment, not completely dark this gives the best effects. Very well done.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a nice day,

Good idea to compare with your last post, the pov is always well seen, good effect with lights, just maybe not enough sharpness.

Very nice captured from your window, the light conditions were very nice here, while it was getting dark. The colourful lights in the streets look fine too. Good work!
