Photographer’s Note
This photograph was made in the eastern foothills of Mount Washington, in New Hampshire. I had just returned from the summit, and was busy hunting for a good composition. A small lake was just about to begin to reflect the setting sun, and the clustered wildflowers gave it a nice foreground object of interest.
I did shoot a couple of compositions which are a bit subtle compared to this one. And then the sky was on fire for a brief moment of about 2-3 minutes. This is the best one of the shots I made.
The colors in the photograph are purely natural. The sky has been accentuated due to the long exposure through a 3-stop HS Singh-Ray grad ND filter. I did some dodge burn to bring out a few more details in the distant hills.
Thank you for your time and critiques, please visit http://rajekar.ca for more landscape photographs.

Hello Ashutosh! Very beautiful shot here! You used the grad ND filter expertly here to perfectly expose a difficult scene. I like the composition very much as I see a layered effect with the flowers in the foreground, the lake reflection in the middle and the wonderful sky in the distance. The sharpness on the flowers is especially good considering the long exposure and possible wind.
Nice work!

Hi Ashutosh,
This is a beautiful shot with a lovely reflection. I like the colours and the flowers in the foreground leading us on through the photo.

Hi,
The composition is great but what really stands out are the colours of the sky reflected in the water. The foreground of the yellow flowers completes a very good photo.
Well done

Lovely shot with great colours and very good details.
Marvellous colours in the sky, and beautiful reflection in the water. The foreground with the flower is nice and colourful, I especially like those 6 long small plants pointing upward, I don't know how to name them in English.
My feeling is, that the plants in total, take a bit to much of the photo. I think a more zoomed in shot, getting the bunch of yellow flowers (not that bunch in the foreground, a bit behind there) some more nearby, and then in a landscape mode. I think that would have offered a very nice view too, having the sky as bigger proportion and decreased the green portion in the photo.
But maybe that's just my taste..I can't really write it down effecive I guess.
WEll, TFS, nice view.

Came out marvelous Ashutosh. 15 seconds without any movement in the wild flowers is a a great luck. I tried to do a long exposure on flowers and it did not work for me.

Congratulations Ashutosh, this is one of the best time lapse photos I have ever seen. Good thing you had a tripod, you captured a lovely reflection off the water and the flowers in the foreground are beautiful. You should be proud of this photo. I am looking forward to your next posting.

Hello Ashutosh,
What a stunning shot! I love the yellow flowers in the foreground that lead to the beautiful little lake which reflects the amazing colours of the sunset! Great composition with amazing colours and beautiful details! Excellent work, Ashutosh! I don't understand why this shot didn't get more points???
Greetings,
Ann
