| A shot of some coloured lichen growing on the rocks at Hyams Beach, South of Sydney. I liked the colours and the shapes of the rocks, with the resulting shadow on the sand. |

A tighter crop may have worked better. The large area of overexposed, out of focus white sand on the right is distracting. I'd also try to get greater depth of field so the orange is also in focus.

Dear Chris, good composition with the space and shadow on the right side. Very detailed and contrasting yellow and orange colour. You showed us a small tiny part of the world :) It could also be a huge mountain on a model train area.
BTW I like your new copyright info.
Yours, Jan

I agree witth that a great er DoF, having the orange as well as the sand in focus would have wored better. Bu ti don't think you should give it a tighter crop. That could have been intresting if the whoel stone had been pin sharp but as it is there is a risk it would work against you. Anyway, this is a great shot as usual. Very nice lightning and intresting patterns, colurs and structure.
J'aime ces lichens que nous retrouvons aussi ici chez nous dans les Alpes. Ciao/jr
