Photographer’s Note

Roofs like this are very common in Sofia. As if forgotten by their owners, the one-century-old buildings get conquered by nature. Just like the roof of this one. Why does this happen? Many owners have gone abroad during communist times, when their property was taken by the state, and only now some of them (or their relatives) start returning what they have owned before 1944. Sometimes it is not that easy and while these people wait the courts to judge in their interest, there's no one to take care of the beautiful buildings.

Of course, there are also many which are renovated, but I've always been interested in those who are not - they are a perfect example of the power of nature and time.

Very nice detail. I love these kind of pictures. I also take some like this in my trips.
Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to visit Bulgaria... yet!

Hi Tsvetana !
I like the mixture of the colors and their contrasts.
The parallelism of the trees with the antenna of TV is interesting. Don't they connect both opposite worlds?

Small criticism: I find the photograph too symmetrical.
I put to you in WS a new framing to mitigate that and to emphasize the antennas!
I hope that that will not be displeased.

J'aime bien le mélange des couleurs et leurs contrastes.
Le parallélisme des arbres avec l'antenne de télé est intéressant. Ne relient-ils pas tous deux mondes opposés ?

Petite critique : je trouve la photo trop symétrique.
Je t'ai mis dans WS un nouveau cadrage pour pallier à cela et mettre en valeurs les antennes !
