Photographer’s Note
Spring is wildflower season in Western Australia. Wildflowers are a major tourist attraction and there is even a wildflower festival in one of the city's major parks - Kings Park. This event is incredibly popular and draws many tour buses. This photo was taken in Chittering - just north of Swan Valley. I have no idea what the purple flowers are, but they are all over the country side.

Hi Sylvia,
Nice pic, I like the fence in the foreground against the purple backdrop. The flower is known as Salvation Jane or Patersons Curse, the botanical name is Echium plantagineum and is a noxious weed in this country. :-)
Cheers Tina
