Photographer’s Note

This was taken along highway 101 on the Oregon coast. I thought this photo was very representational of the Oregone coast. You have the ever-present fog, the gorgeous beaches, the sand dunes, and the shrubbary holding on for dear life along the coast. It's beautiful.

Driving 101 is great - there are overlooks and turnouts almost every mile with amazing views like this. It's tough to not stop at them all. We actually got so behind in our timing we had to set our tent up in the dark.

This is great, Brian--such beautiful texture and color in the sand at that time of day! I really like the greatly varied strips of color and texture, from soft fog at the top to hard hills at the bottom. The panoramic composition is perfect, too. Regards, Ken.

Brian, this is truelly outstanding TE shot. Not only that it is fabulous photo of great landscape with beautiful colors but it is very inspiring place to visit. I could have moved to Oregon myself and when looking at this photo you made me regret the fact I didnt for a moment. Thanks for inspiration. Lucie

Hi Brian! I like repeating diagonal line pattern you have here with the shrubbery, dunes, tide, and even the clouds. The colors are earthy and subtle and fit the scene well. Nice work!

Very nice Brian - six different layers of texture (including the sky!)
My only critisism - if I remember correctly, Highway 101 runs the entire length of the Oregon Coast - so your location is not very specific!! :)
