This is one of Franco´s Pillboxes,one of many construction projects the Generalissimo is remembered for in these parts.
The long lamented dictator ruled Spain for nearly 40 years......without a smile(it´s a world record)...his jokes(sorry joke!) were legendary(but instantly forgetable!).....he is not a very popular guy in these parts.
Anyway it´s possible to scour the coastline for these monstrosities(if you are daft enough!).....I found this one near Malpas,north Mallorca.....a charming "pied a terre"...."coastal views"...."of solid construction".....with only one window it´s handy for any machine gun you have handy.
