Photographer’s Note
The upscale version of palm frond huts of the Bajau Laut. For a transient family, the hut is built entirely of palm fronds on sands just above the reach of high tides. Serves as basic shelter from the heat of the the tropical sun and rains.

Somehow seeing it in B/W, make it looks so simple and uncluttered. The kind of feel you get when seeing photos taken decades ago when things were simple, easy and so uncomplicated comparatively. Take it from me, I was somewhere near the same place where you'd taken this shot but, your B/W, makes this scene, nostalgically simple. Almost with a peace of mind. Just a kid and a kitten.

Hi Nazeri,
Lovely photo indeed.
Somehow, those houses with the doors open (or no doors?) makes it looks like it was un inhabitted for quite sometime.
And, the pattern of the palm made wall of the nearest house is also interesting. I haven't seen that before.
Thanks for sharing.
