Photographer’s Note
Sorry Mark (Skorj), another location inspired title, but this time at least it's from a good film. In fact until recently attending a meeting in Marne-La-Vallee, about 25km east of Paris, I'd always assumed that the headquarters of the nightmarish bureaucracy in this fantasy were from Terry Gilliam's imagination. The intimidating neo-classicalism being a perfect expression of the inhuman state machine, and just the kind of thing he might have dreamed up. It is, however, a real building, a block flats in a Parisian overspill satelite town, and a building of such breathtaking ugliness that it's almost beautiful, in the way that Stalin's Seven Sisters in Moscow are.
What's amazing from a British perspective is how well cared for the building and it's surroundings are. In the UK this kind of place would be set in grounds filled with litter, and display many broken windows. Not here though, maybe the French are better at living in flats than we are.
Just as I raised my camera to take one of the interior shots a guy on the walkway shouted at me 'non', before disappearing from view, maybe he thought I was from Central Services.

That’s a great idea; one photo on its own simply would be too boring/ugly. I see what you mean about the ugliness of it, its a very pompous building and quite inhuman. Great shots and notes, Nicely done.

Good idea to put all this pictures from this. Exact location is Noisy le Grand and the architecte who do "that" call Ricardo Bofil. the place look better with blue sky.

Great collage. No one photo could capture the strangeness of this architecture. The high degree of imagination spares it from actual ugliness, I think. "Brazil" is a great reference though!

Come on Richard, you have no right to complain about the litter, especially after you have been in Bulgaria..:-P Your composition is fine, but I think that it could be even better to show these pictures one by one - as you see, you can get a lot of different oppinions here.. But what is good about photography is that it brings you joy through taking pictures. As for the comments - listen to your heart! :-) Very well seen and captured!

Very artistic montage (or collage)- I like the "theme" in your 15 shots and your different angles - Well spotted and done Ricard.
Points later.
