Photographer’s Note

This view might not be entirely original, since it is seen from a popular fifth-floor restaurant in Quito´s Old Town, but nevertheless it is a gorgeous one.

The building shown is simply known as La Catedral, a 16th-century monument that borders the Plaza de la Independencia. In the background, barely visible here, is the hill Panecillo, with the statue of the Virgin of Panecillo crowning the hilltop.

The shutter speed here was actually 10 seconds, but that option wasn´t available when I uploaded the photo.
