Photographer’s Note

Old Cuban man walking down the streets of "Calle Ocho" (=Eight Street) in Little Havana. He seemed to be indifferent to the graffiti next to him... maybe he was just enjoying his cigar or missing his home town back in Cuba..

The streets of Little Havana are very much different than the others in Miami. You can see people strolling and music playin around. Plus, it is very cheap to buy delicious cookies...

PS: The text on the wall reads:
"Viva Nuestra Raza" (Long Live our Race)

I like the graffities but I do not feel the position of man is much healthy.
It looks like total static where as you can make such frame to one of the best shot.
Nice efforts.

Hi Mehmet,

Wonderful and colorful photo. You could of course dicuss the position of the man. However, what is amazing here is that it almost looks like he is part of the a painting. I love that impression.

Hi, Mehmet. These coloured graffiti are really nice and I like your framing which gives us the impression we're reading a cartoon. However, I think it would have been better if we could have seen the man's face here and if he had stood a little more to the left.
