Photographer’s Note
The Prague Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock located in Prague. The Orloj is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square and is a popular tourist attraction.
The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details; "The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.

Hi Sabrina
i was in Prague last year and saw this clock for myself.
It is an interesting way in which you have decided to photograph the clock - not the normal shot people tend to take.
Cheers,
Neil....

Dear Sabrina,
If this clock dates from the Medieaval period, it must have been created before Copernicus published his monumental book, 'de Revolutionebus Orbeum Coelestium,' in 1543. It is as astrological as astonomical then. To be safe from the Inquisitors, Copernicus, working in Poland, far from the Inquisitors in Rome, dedicated the book to the Pope, and waited until his death bed to release the book. The photograph of the clock is wonderful, and the angle quite unique and artistic.
Regards,
Bulent

It does not look like a clock I would hang on the wall. I love the colors and the close up you came up with. Good detail and shadows. Thabks for sharing.
