Photographer’s Note
This shot was made in Lille (cultural city 2004) just across the border in northern France. 30 metres from the back façade of the Musée de Beaux Arts - 19th century eclecticism, a modern glass building was erected. In order to melt togehter the modern and classic style, the arcitects decided to put yellow and green-blue mirrors on the new building. What you see is the old façade behind me reflected in the mirrors of the front façade of the new building. The colors are as they were that day - slightly clouded. The open space between the two buildings is covered with green glass evocing a small lake.
