A hand cart puller pulls his cart thru the water logged streets of Kolkata. These people earn a daily wage of Rs 80-100 (around $2) but the hard work they have to put in is often unimaginable.

thanks for the note, It makes the photo more usefull.
The composition, theme and colours are great. Shame the man is somehow not interesting, but like I said with the note it's an asset for TE.

Hi Anjan, interesting photo & note. I lived in Pakistan for two years and I know what you're talking about. I like this photo partly because it captures the atmosphere of the monsoon. The man's wearied, but determined expression is also telling, while his strange load and the red umbrella in background add further interest. Good photo! Regards,

Hello Anjan, this is a superb scene. I'm not very fond of the frame format, but I have praises only for the low angle point of view with which you took this photograph. The rain, or should I say the flood, makes the rest. great capture.

What I love about this photo is the detail and pose of the man as he struggles through the rain. It's nice to see you getting up and close to the action rather than shotting from a distance.

A well composed image of daily "hard" life shot whith that strong man pulling heavy burden... You caught well the atmosphere of monsoon which is also heavy ,(but necessary). Colors and POV are good too...

Hi Anjan. I like so much the face and the attitude of the man in your picture. Really tough man for a really tough job. Your composition is excellent and all this monsoon atmosphere with the flooded street and the drops of rain falling and rebounding on the water on the ground is great. Colours are very nice as well. Hello Anjan.
Fantastic document of a daily scene for some and an exotic piece about the labor that some individuals spend their days having to endure. I'll tell you, I really like that the fellow has turned his head to look to the side, I don't believe this shot would have been as strong...great eyes. This shot has a somewhat aomber mood to it, yet with what appears to be red flowers (I've mad a mistake before, I thought a blue bag tied to a tree was a flower in one TE friends photo) floating down the street, the mood is heightened.
I enjoyed this shot very much.

Another impressive photo from you! The objects on his cart seem to be large baskets. Is that what they are? What are they used for (they seem very big)?
I see it's raining but this guy keeps on pulling his cart nevertheless; he just covered his head with a plastic bag.
