Photographer’s Note
The title should of course be ”starry starry sea” but I wanted to use the same title, as that fine old song by Don McLean – about Vincent van Gogh.
Not much to say about this – My camera was running low on batteries when I spotted this lonely swan.
I got her/him from the car – but decided to get even closer – which made him decide to “sail” away.
The sun was quite high on the sky and the see was relative calm, The reflections was too much for my eye’s but I decided to wait for the swan to get into the reflection area – and hoping for something useful.
I got four shot with the last power on the batteries – and returned home curious the result –
Ok may be its too much, but I was surprised to get this image from a backlight shot, hope you like it too.

Second note! There wasen't use filters - in fact I dosen't even own one :-) but may be I should invest in some.

You got a very good image. The reflections have a star-like image. Did you use a filter? those 'stars' add a lot to the picture. Only one swan works very well here.

Très bel effet avec les reflets créant de petites étoiles. Bien vu et heureusement que vos piles ont tenus le coup pour cette photo.

I have never seen anything like this before Jeppe. You captured the reflections very well. First I thought that the note was some kind of joke make us believe that you did no special treatment with effects, but then I saw the last of the note and realised the truth. Congratulation.

Amazing effect you acquired without the use of filters - I'd have guessed on some kind of star filter, too, had you not stated none was used ;-). The photo seems to have some noise in it, especially visible on the swan. Did you use a high ISO?

Congratulations! You have found treasures in this photo. Sometimes, when we are too dabbled with technicalities, we lose our spaontaneity. This shot is certainly spontaneous. This shot is certainly experimental, This shot is certainly gorgeous. Once again, keep yoor spaontaneity rolling.
