Photographer’s Note
This is a typical cloudy summer afternoon on the Bogong High Plains in NE Victoria, not far from Falls Creek. The snow gums have varied colours on their trunks, and a carpet of yellow Kunzea flowers surrounds them.
Scanned from a slide. The cloudy conditions meant that there was not a large range of contrast, which makes taking the photo easier. It also produces a better result when scanned.

Vincent this is a sharp composition with very nice and interesting colours. I agree that the cloudy day made for a better shot. With more light this picture would had looked very different. Nice job Vincent.

Hi Vincent,
This is a very passionate view of your capture. The view also looks very gentle and smooth. There are some feelings in it when looking at it. I just want to say, I love this picture so much.

Wow, very clear, soft and sharp. The colors are incredible, it looks like a paint. The sky add to this impression.

This is just superb. Many a striking photo, like many a striking woman, would prove hard to live with for long. But this is both striking and gracious, a classic image to enhance a living space. It is also wonderful, though different, in monochrome. Heartiest congratulations!

Bonjour Vincent,
Une très belle composition ! Il n'est pas toujours facile de mettre en valeur un arbre, ici c'est une réussite. Un beau tableau ! Merci.

Trully mystical landscape, with great detail and just the right amount of sharpness. Excellent use of light, really makes this scene come alive. And this really shows off the beauty of the aussie snow gums. The little yellow flowers contrast well with the silver trees. I love this composition. Hope you have more from this trip.

Stunning composition of a gorgeous landscape. The texture and colours of those exotic trees and the flowers and well rendered, against the more fluid background.
Excellent work Vincent!

Beautiful! Can't help but admire this shot with the lyrical curves of the trees that contrast with the distant mt ranges and the foreground flowers. A wonderful convergence just for you to take advantage of here.

Vincent, this was on your intro page as a featured photo, and I love it. The undulating carpet of flowers looks superb in this well lit shot. The trunks of those magnificent gum trees are superbly presented here against the cloudy blue of the sky and the mountains. Superb photo.

Hello Vince
Firstly, impressive gallery you have, well done. I love these twisted trees, but the whole mood is fascinating and the light management is superb. A fine job with the scanning, looks drum scanning quality, its that good Vince.
Will keep an eye on your work from now on
Regards
Jim
