[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a pic I took this week end. I was in Les Saintes, Guadeloupe (French West Indies), and we decided to stay for a night there. Unfortunately, it was one of this very rainy night we can see in the tropics, and it was raining cats and dogs (tropical rains are not a myth!!!). This photo shows the little harbour of Terre-de-Haut, the only village on the archipelago.
The pic is nor grainy, neither full of noise: it is just the rain and that is why the ground reflects like a mirror. I posted it in B&W, it looks like a movie scene (apart from the classic man with a hat smoking...)
I have already posted a photo of this island: it is a more classic view in a sunny day of one the most beautiful bay in the world.

J'ai pris cette photo ce week end. J'étais aux Saintes, un petit archipel juste au sud de la Guadeloupe (mais les Saintes font partie de la Guadeloupe). Nous avions décidé de passer la nuit sur l'île, mais malheureusement il a plu des cordes toute la nuit...les pluies tropicales ne sont pas un mythe!
Cette image montre le port de Terre-de-Haut, le seul village du petit archipel.
La photo n'est pas bruitée, il s'agit juste de la pluie très dense, c'est aussi pourquoi le sol est lisse et lumineux comme un miroir. Enfin, le passage au noir et blanc donne un aspect scène de film (même si il manque l'individu mystérieux en imperméable et chapeau, fumant tranquillement sous la pluie...)
J'ai déjà posté une vue plus classique de la baie des Saintes, l'une des plus belles du monde, sous un jour ensoleillé

Salut Sebastien,
Il ya beaucoup de vide dans cette photo, la composition a été structuré autour de quatre grands "thèmes" orthogonal bien diversifié.
Peut être que l'image donne un témoignage du mystère, mais je pense qui il faut plus d'éclat dans au moin un des thèmes.
