This pic was taken from Sottomarina's pier. Kitesurf sportsman like this place because its windy !
Sottomarina, near Chioggia (Venice) is a summer holiday place located 30 km south of Venice. Its beach is famous for therapeutical properties (high iodine values). Before 60's it was only a little agricultural village. Today, Sottomarina is the main place where "Radicchio Rosso di Chioggia" is produced. It's a typical sort of red salad, with a particular flavour, that grows up only in sand fields.

This is a crop of an original pic about kite surf, shot in Sottomarina (Venezia) a very beautiful and sharp (very rare) evening in August 2004.

Bello scatto Silvio, colto con un'ottima luce. Mi piace il modo in cui il paracadute assicura all'immagine un perfetto equilibrio andandosi a collocare proprio nell'angolo in alto destra.

This kind of compo have always a kind of poetry : colors, highness, mildness... In that case the colors of the kite are incredibly the same than the water ! Beautiful.
