Photographer’s Note
A twilight photograph from tonight. I am very interested in peoples opinions on composition!
The sunset was a disapointment and I have made the best of the RAW!

I like the simple composition. It works well with the soft light on the rocks. The water looks almost like mist due to the long exposure. It looks very nice.

Nice close-up, Ian. The long exposure makes for a great dreamlike scene. Color tones are excellant.

I like this kind of effect and I hope to get a similar result next week, on the beach... ;o)
Nice image, clever use of the close-up and of the long exposure.

The water actually look like mist, Ian, and this for a good part because of the deep blue tones you used for that experiment. It creates a wonderful freezing effect, the rocks looking like (let alone the many poetic similes they arouse) wrapped loaves in a vast coolerator.
I'm very inspired by your shot, I learn much more from it than from so many blurred waters...

Well if the sunset was a disappointment it certainly provided some lovely coloured reflections in the water. The slow shutter has a lovely effect on the waves and we can still see the beginnings of a breaking wave in the bg. I like the way you composed the glistening rocks as kind of stepping stones for our eyes.
Good work
