Photographer’s Note

This is my first work for this amazing web site. I was driving along The Ring of Kerry and quite often I stopped my car to catch some nice shots. I particulary like this one because the reflection of the trees seems their own roots which are "growing up" just from the water.

Welcome to TE. Nice reflection of the tree. If you take a look at the sky in the photo, you can see the sky is totally washed out from overexposured. Try to meter off the sky next time and see what happens. Also, from personal point of view, I would crop off the grass reflection so the focus is on the tree and its reflection. Keep posting, cheers.

Hi Daniele,
OK your sky has already been marked out overexposed, white-washed, burnt, etc
BUT the PoV that must be and stay in your mind when you consider posting a shot is how the picture is supposed to convey a particular feeling.
Figure out best how to share with people the way YOU like it, this will not be sufficient to mend the flaws people reasonably point at, but it will help. Keep on sharing, pictures, then ways of seeing: this is how you may improve your Photoeye, on the website, and then...
On the spot, when you shoot. I hope you will keep on finding the site great, it is so long has u do...etc, etc:)
(perhaps you need to know PoV means point of view, it's impossible to debate anything here if you don't know the basic acronyms ;))

Love the photo you posted, it gives a good idea of the roughnes of the area, and the reflection of the tree in the water looks great.

Bonjour Danièle,
Une image très bien composée ! Un seul petit point me gène un peu : ces masses sombres que l'on a bien du mal à identifier. C'est dommage car la composition était vraiment très belle. Merci pour le partage et bienvenue sur TE.
