Zalew utworzony na rzece Orlanka, w gminie Dubicze Cerkiewne, 15 km od Hajnówki.

Orlanka, rzeka w pó³nocno-wschodniej Polsce, lewy dop³yw Narwi o d³ugo¶ci 50,3 km i powierzchni dorzecza 520 km². P³ynie na Nizinie Pó³nocnopodlaskiej, w województwie podlaskim. Rzeka wyp³ywa na podmok³ych ³±kach ko³o wsi Jelonka, a do Narwi uchodzi w pobli¿u wsi Czerewki. Wa¿niejsze miejscowo¶ci nad Orlank±: Dubicze Cerkiewne, Orla, Deniski.
