WOW!!! You have left me speechless with this! Is this a photograph or a painting I ask myself, the answer I get is : It is a work of art, creation of an artist. Despite the obvious grainy BG, the composition is simply superb. Specially those two girls walking in the field, lost in their own world unmindful of your presence. The 6x6 format may be unconventional but I personally feel it works well on TE in giving that big format feel. This will go straight to my favourites.
Best Wishes

Very artistic offering. The scene itself is good, but your processing and presentation really stand out. The colours are almost surreal. I'd have liked to know the post processing steps you used to get this effect.

Nice interesting well composed photo.Excellent interaction between two girls and man under umbrella. Unfortunatelly very poor scan produce too much unsharp noise.
I'd like to see original on paper because I believe that original is superb.

This classic shot tells us how we can be creative with our shots. A simple view is turned in to a masterpiece. The girls are pumping lot of life in to it. The contrast betwen the sexes and the ages are brillantly composed. The grain is working well here.We can very well read what's happening there on the passing girls. Hats off!!!!!!!

definitely something special for me too... the most surrealistic shot i've seen on te for sure... wish i had more of an art background to be able to analyze it, but without any i can just offer my appreciation.. also if there ever was a perfect match between the processing and the content...
p.s. a perfect title too

Hi Partha, no sé si existe el ARTE en la fotografía, pero si lo hay, están en algunos de tus trabajos como en este que al margen de las características técnicas de encuadre y resolución a mí me parece una verdadera Obra de Arte.
Te felicito amigo.

Hey Partha,
"What a wonderful world" that is here. In most cases this photograph would be taken from the same predictable POV - that of an average height. But you mananged to take it differently from a lower POV, suggesting a stronger sense of immensity of the landscape not to mention the beautifully clouded sky!
One of your best here in TE!

Namaskar Partha
I was attracted by your image on thumbnail and now I'm keeping on staring on it.
The high noise made of this image a sort of painting, your composition is stunning and the two girls walking add a lot of dynamycity to the whole image, the sky is just wonderful a sky who "call" a wideangle shot.

Partha, I know it will sound fake or something, but if I ever take a shot like this, I'll be the happiest man!! This is very, very nice! When I first saw this shot when you posted it in august, I kind of disliked the grainy aspect of it. With some retreat, I think the grain gives an unforgettable mood to the picture. For me this is an icon shot of this site, congratulation!

Hi Partha!
How can I have miss this one, it's a wonder....
There is an incredible mood in this one!!!
In an 'era' of neat and super clean shots... In an era of contrasty quasi-electrical colors shots... In an era where many people will complain about our subject striking a pose... Well, you did post that photo.
Many people here complained about noise and washed out colors. That was to be expected. But still they loved it. Until now, 132 points, 13 favorites. A well deserved record. But I wonder.... would that photo 'win' all that if it was not, exactly, because of the grain, of the washed out colors, of that pose of the man? So, my friend, keep it that way. One other proof of that famous saying that "the beauty lays in imperfections" (at least, I may be the only one saying it!!! Maybe to justify my own imperfections! lols!)
Now, one last word. That man with an umbrella with a blue sky??? GREAT! The two young girls, chatting, walking in a joyful attitude, pink dress, yellow dress: WONDERFUL!
Envious.

I think the off color and the grain work well for this shot. If adds a bit of flavor to the composition and gives it an almost painted feel to it. The elements in this photo are great! The sky, the two girls walking and the man with the umbrella... amazing. This is a superb shot!
