Mexico DF, one of the biggest cities in the current world is a mix of cosmopolitan influences from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and a little piece of old Spanish tradition oversees.

The national pride that the Mexican people show is one of the attractives of the city, and makes that metropolis a bit more human, taking into account its huge dimensions.

One of the things that I really appreciated during my time in Mexico was that strong and powerful light in the sky. Here is an example, showing a small part of the city's skyline.

Mexico DF, una de las mayores urbes del planeta y la mayor ciudad, con diferencia, de lengua hispana, es un compendio de viejas tradiciones españolas, modernas avenidas y rascacielos, a la vez que un crisol de razas y culturas mesoamericanas.

Mi estancia en México por motivos laborales me resultó extraordinariamente agradable, y hubo momentos en los que no supe distinguir si echaba de menos España o si sólo se trataba de echar de menos Madrid, dado que nunca me sentí foráneo.

Pese a las brutales diferencias sociales coexistentes en la ciudad, la contaminación y los preocupantes problemas de seguridad, pude descubrir una ciudad intensa, viva y con cierto aire de nostalgia, que me hizo sentir en casa a 9.000 kilómetros de mi hogar.

Aún me acuerdo de su fuerte luz invernal al amanecer.
