Beach of Foz do Arelho, near Óbidos Lagoon, central coast of Portugal, on the ocean side. Last Sunday at high tide the Atlantic Ocean was at the feet of three lonely girls.
The strong waves make here a high step in the sand. In the Workshop there is a view of the step between the upper beach and the sea.
See also the more crowded beach on the lagoon side.

Praia da Foz do Arelho, junto à Lagoa de Óbidos, centro de Portugal. Na preia-mar, domingo passado, o Atlântico quase tocava os pés destas raparigas abandonadas...
A forte ondulação provoca aqui um acentuado degrau na areia. No Workshop pode-se ver o desnível entre a parte superior da praia e a zona da rebentação.

Nice shot, Francisco! I like the effect of using a long lens - the wave looks so close to the girls. Very clear with nice colour and light, and the girls well positioned in the composition. Maybe you could crop a little bit off the top. Thanks for the workshop to show the reality of the eroded sand!

Hi Francisco, good use of a telephoto lens to compress the perspective and nice framing of the waves, the beach and girls. I'd have liked to have seen a little more exposure applied in post-processing (perhaps 1/3 stop) to bring out the shadows a little more and maybe a touch more saturation but it's a very nice image. Une belle image bien composée avec de jolies couleurs. Bien vu et bien fait (même si je trouve que la mer est un peu trop importante dans le haut)

Both photos are very nice. To me the ws is more attractive, but it is a matter of personal preference. Good compo and colors. It's a piti that there is so much water around but people cannot go for a swim...

É pá, isto está mesmo bom, Francisco! E mais uma daquelas de pessoas que não custa muito tirar. Adoro o contraste delas com a espuma. A composição é perfeita e a luminosidade é fantástica. Muito bom mesmo. Parabéns!

Preciosa foto Francisco (el WS nos revela el porque de la tranquilidad imperterrita de esas chicas ante la ola que acecha )

Los colores son tan bonitos que contrastan tanto o mas que esas magnificas casas de playa coloreadas tan tipicas de la region de las Beiras

Nice waves + girls :)I haven't seen a beach pic like this so dynamic and up-close. Good lighting and textures of beach contrast that of their bodies. And you've frozen the wave at the it's highest ampltitude. good job.

Hola Francisco,
Sense veure primer el WS sembla que l'onada ha d'engolir les tres noies. Però és un efecte òptic, ja que l'onada és lluny. Tot i això l'oceà és impressionant aquí, quines onades, com es recaragolen.
Has fet un bon enquadrament amb les noies a un costat, la sorra, l'onada i l'aigua amb aquest color verdós tan bonic. I la llum és bona també.

Linda foto, Francisco! Gosto muito do enquadramento. As cores estão ótimas, e a iluminação excelente! O mar parece bravio e as meninas parecem admirá-lo e ao mesmo tempo odiá-lo por não poderem se banhar...

Browsing your gallery came across this refreshing sight. The small wave about to crash on the shore. Good exposure and speed to capture the movement of the water. Oh yes, the ladies look good too ;-)
