Photographer’s Note
For my holidays this year, direction national park of Banff, Alberta Canada. There low, several pedestrian hiking trails are made, of which it that of the collar Wilcox, where I could meet this splendid animal. I could approach me with a dozen meters for good to photograph it. What a plume!

Hi Yannick,
It looks like a wooden statue, with flesh-like horns... But what can be expected as usual in an unearthly landscape?
It's as still as a still-life, and still
It's Life. Protect it!

Nice that you could approach the animal to such a distance. Funny, i can somehow see him thinking: "worked all day, lets take a rest." POV ok: animal watch 'into' photo. Nice combination of animal and its habitat (is that last word good English for living-area?)

Very nice picture. Excellent point of view and high definition of the main subject against the diffuse background mountains ..
Congratulations ..

How did you get this guy to pose for you? :). great classical composition. I just wondered if you couldn't imrove the brightness and contrast a little.

This is wonderful! I thought these animals were usually really timid, so to get such a good shot is really a treasure. Great POV.
TFS!

Bonjour Yannick,
Bonne journee,
Jean-Yves

Amazing animal. I like the way you composed him to the left of the frame so he has lots of space to look into. With the Rockies in the background a successful photo.

Nice shot Yannick. Quite the lucky break there. The backdrop is perfect--it looks almost like you shot this in a studio! Beautiful subject and landscape all around, and kudos for taking advantage of a great opportunity.
