[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Right before the tide is due to flood the fishermen walk out to their boats with their gear and bait. Here on the Normandy coast the tide comes in as a wall of water, faster than a man can run. The fishermen sit in their boats and wait for them to be floated. As the tide ebbs they pick up their moorings and await the opportunity to walk home.

I really like the composition of this image. The bands of water at top and bottom and the sky really stand out in this monochromatic photo.

Great shot. Wonderfull atmosphere and composition

This is a great composition that tells a rich story, which is complemented by your excellent caption. I particularly like the blue cast throughout the frame, including on the boat. The zig-zagging lines of water running across the frame draw the eye from the foreground to the middle ground and to the misty horizon. This image is very still and very dynamic at the same time. Bravo.

A symphony in blue! I like very much this picture.

I would have left out the very foreground, to get the boat out of the middle of the photo. I think it should have been on 1/3 from under & more sky...
(Sorry for my bad English!)
But this photo is most beautiful, I would love to have it on my wall.

superbe photo

mystère et beaute

Variation in blue coud be another title for this picture... If I could, I would like to be there, at the same time... in 1975? 28 years ago? Fabulous shot.

"Waiting on the Tide" or "Waiting for the Tide". Hard to evaluate this shot, as with most of your vertical shots I can't get it all to fit in my screen entirely at one time. Simple subject and monochrome effect are very nice. A bit fuzzy, perhaps?

Very very beautiful.

Excellent photo! Love the lighting and the comp.

I really like this; it makes me want to write a poem. Very melancholy. I like that it's vertical.

Est ce les années qui ont altéré les couleurs ou bien l'effet "Cyan" était désiré ?
La composition est parfaite, j'ai effectué un travail légèrement différent à celui de Bob.

Does the years which deteriorated the colors or the effect "Cyan" was desired? The composition is perfect, I carried out a little different work than Bob one.

Great composition. The place is very beautiful, and have great cxolors

Classique mais toujours très beau; les couleurs évoquent la solitude des lieux froids au petit matin ; dominante bleuté mais c'est un peu comme ça. temps de novembre.

Somehow I midded this shot . The composition is wonderful. Soft easy color. Interesting subject.

The color of this photo is amazing. It makes me feel calm, yet sad -- blue. I like the way the blue stretches to the horizon. The small boat makes the world seem very big and the inhabitants very small.

Thank you. So, I remember my first poetry book, with a binding like this, but yours is more beautiful.
