Collegiate church Ours
It is on the same rocky outcrop that the Feudal Fortress and the Royal Home. Its origin goes up at the 5th century when St Eustoche, Eveque of Turns, built at this place an oratory. About year 500 St Ours created a monastery there. In 962, with the return of a pélerinage in Rome, the Count of Anjou Geoffroy Grisegonelle founded Collegiate church, this is why for a long time the Counts of Anjou exerted a supervision on the establishment. The Pope Jean III granted to Collegiate church the privilege to raise directly of the Holy See. The Canons were always vigilant not to leave Archeveques de Tours eencroach upon on their rights. The current building has an original architecture, it is the resultant of work being spread out X in XIVe centuries. Only three vaults in apses belong to the construction of Xème century. The interior porch of the church is remarkable with its sculptures.

Lovely view of this church, so well composed with the trees in foreground of the picture. I like the water in front too and the sky with clouds looks nice.

Bonjour Philippe, A lot of light in this picture, and a very nice composition with a clear frame division between the church and old houses, and the greenery, with these two symmetric trees creating a real opening to the blue sky and the red bridge crossing them. And there is even a reflection of this church in the creek. Pleasant! And an interesting note as well.

Très belle vue de cette église avec un excellent premier plan,les arbres et le cours d'eau dans lequel se mire La Collégiale,tu nous donne ici encore un exemple de ta parfaite maitrise de la composition.J'apprécie aussi le petit pont en bois.

A very pleasant view on this old church, Philippe. An idyllic countyside scenery with trees, waters and flying birds and a fine compositional interest provided by the collegiate church. A well-found POV and I like that you managed to include a small piece of reflection in the foreground. Interesting notes, too.

As usual, you show us a very interesting architecture, from a small village. This shot from a distance show us a beautiful scenery, typical from you, with wonderful colors and a nice reflection on the water. The double tree at right, makes a strong foreground and frame well the view to the village. Even the two birds ("andorinhas" in Portuguese) make more poetic ;-))

great picture. I like the combination of the rural situation with the tess and the fine inclusion of the swallows on the right side and the magnificient romanesque church - looks like the former cathedral in Cluny - on the left side.

The light here is beautiful, giving some wonderful contrasts; the image positively shines out of the frame. I like the way you have composed the scene. The church could have dominated, yet the trees on the right balance the whole composition. The inclusion of the little stream with the reflection is a pretty detail.

It is nice seeing you again after some weeks away from TE!

I like very much the great range of light, with very nice highlights and shadows, all very well exposed. The composition is is very good too.

But above all technical considerations, the place looks beatiful.

Tes photos m'aident à connaître un peu plus la beauté de cette architecture historique, religieuse, civil ou militaire, de ton pays.
Tes compositions sont magnifiques, comme celle-ci qui nous offres aujourd'hui. La Collégiale splendide avec ses tours élégantes en tendant au ciel bleu, parfaitement détaillée, et devant l'image, les deux arbres et le ruisseau avec les beaux reflets.
Il y a beaucoup et beaux éléments dans la photo, c'est un plaisir considérer tout ce qu'il le rend tellement joli.

C'est clair, net pour les lignes et cadré parfait, on en oublierai presque les éléments modernes vu la part donné à l'arbre dand son joli coin avec pont et à l'archotecture.

A lovely view with pleasant light and colours. The composition is also great, I like the church placed at the left hand side of the picture together with the distorted reflection in the bottom part. The trees make the picture well balanced. A fine addition are the swallows. Very well captured, thanks for sharing!

Superb view of very interesting architecture. Your POV is excellent showing us lots of nature in the front like the small river & the tree. I like how the ripply reflection of the impressive church can be seen in the water. The details with the brown bridge & the two flying birds add so much to this picture. Excellent picture!

encore une belle image avec une excellent luminosité. L'église se reflete en partie, c'est un point fort de l'image qui aurait peut etre nécessité un cadrage vertical.

Un travail très soigné, comme d'habitude... Composition bien pensée, lumière idéale, très jolies couleurs...peut être un petit excès de saturation donnant un aspect un peu curieux au feuillage et aux troncs des arbres?

La vitesse rapide a figé les martinets.
L'église est bien placée en point fort et plus près du village elle semble ne pas être facile à photographier.
Le point de vue est bien choisi.
Question technique en fonction de mon écran je note une légère dominante bleu/magenta en comparaison de l'échelle de calibration ci-dessous; te vexe pas, cela ne vient pas de ton appareil.
Lorsque j'ai appris a développer des photos couleurs il fallait se référer à une carte grise Kodak équivalente à la plage N° 8 de l'échelle.
Je photographiais cette carte en première image et aux essais de tirage il fallait se rapprocher le plus du gris avec le filtrage de l'agrandisseur.
Le réglage terminé, je pouvais tirer toute la pellicule avec le même coefficient de filtrage et d'exposition.
Le coéfficient de filtrage variait avec la marque de la pellicule, sa sensibilité et le N° de référence de fabriquation du papier sensible ... Fastidieux !
En numérique c'est le même principe de base, mais cela ne coûte pas un centime de révélateur, du papier et de fixateur.

Well composed with a diversity of hues and tones that resonate with late spring freshness. The unusual trees seem like really one! The reflection ensures a lively foreground and the eye follows both the winding stream and the little road to the left to reach the stately church. Good clarity and natural colours. A very fine capture, Philippe.

Hello again, Philippe. This is a beautifully composed photo. The two trees on the right are a lovely counterpoint to the church spire, with the bridge joining them. I like the river and the road leading the eye away in different directions, and there is just enough of the reflection. Delightful!
