Photographer's Note
This was a great day of colour. I try my best to get them as sharp as I can from my scanner and with office pro 8. All my photos are sharp in the photos I get back. What am I doing wrong for this site?

I love how the clouds stream towards the horizon. The colours are amazing. Great photo Richard.

Wow. Sunsets usually do not work on me but this one does. The suggestion of movement is very powerful. You are just sucked in. Congratulations!

Beautiful colours and reflections. I feel like going into warp drive while seeing the evil eye of Sauron.

Very colorful shot, nearly unrealistic.
Although the big dark stone is an eyecatcher, I would suggest to skip it.

I dont think that you do something wrong on this site. I think that when you get the luck too see such a sky, then you must have an digital camera in your pocket, Then there's nothing you have too scan. I like this big colourfull sky anyway, unsharp yes, a little, but it's good enough too let us see this wonderfull of nature. Very wel done.

Perfect picture!! reminds me of the Aurura borealis in Iceland! This shot is almost like a dream for me- i wish i were standing there as a stargazer!! (i think this pic proves the fact that stars are visible much better as reflection in water than gazed directly)- bottom left of the picture.

Wow! The sky is extreme! Very dramatic and with wonderful colours. Beautiful reflection in the water to top it off.
Very, very beautiful.

Hello Richard
I had a little look through your gallery, mostly some quite impressive waves, I'll get back to those at a later time.
What struck me were these amazing colours.
They are simply mezmerising and they way they seem to come out of one point just makes the view even more spectacular.
Like you have noticed yourself there is a lot of noise in your photos. Am I right in understanding that you scanned these photos yourself? What kind of scanner?
In my experience with the EOS 300 and a negative scanner they always seem to have a lot of grain. Usually it would help to just put the scanning output to maximum or at least more than 72 DPI.
But what I have noticed is that no matter how many times you make the scanning there are always some that turn out very grainy, don't ask me why.
Hope it helps...that is if you still have that problem.
Thank you for sharing
Odd Jarle
