Feeling blue? Photo

Photographer’s Note

This little guy was hobbling along beside the path I was walking along. This is a blue land crab. I noticed he was missing 2 legs on his left side, but he seemed to be getting along well. Tough to get a better shot of him, since he was moving, and my digital camera has a REALLY annoying delay before it takes the shot.

Taken at night, thus the flash reflecting off of its claw. Cropped and sharpened a bit.

I've seen tonnes of these guys in Gales Point when I was there. Nice photo and good eye on the claws. Those beady eyes! hehe :) Thanks

Wow, I have never seen a blue crab before. It looks like he or she has been a few fights. Super cool looking creature,great pic. How big was this guy?
I hate the annoying delay too . It it really hard to capture a moving subject.
